From Last few year the decision to make special labor courts was pospontened three times, the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Judicial Council try to launch special courts in Saudi Arabia for labor disputes.
99 Assistant judges initiated the step to trained themselves for solving labor disputes. 80 judges were also assigned for doing this work after training. These labor courts were expected to start functioning from this year.
This list for initial assistant judges that were to be trained is approved by Walid Al-Samaani, minister of justice and president of the Supreme Judicial Council. The training course is of three months.
Five labor courts were expected to be launched on major cities of Riyadh, Jeddah Dammam, Makkah and Madina. These courts were also affiliated with other courts all around Kingdom. 80 judges assigned on duty that transferred to the labor courts in future.
Previous decision to mandate training courses of assistant judges to the labor committees is canceled by president of the Supreme Judicial Council.

Non Official statistics show that almost 20,000 cases were referred to labour courts.
