Apple iPhone sales always lead to a huge queue outside its flagship stores. Generally, people lineup outside Apple’s retail stores a day in advance in order to be the first to get their iDevice. With iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, reports indicate shorter lines and lesser supply from the Cupertino-based consumer technology giant. Apple’s stock have gained lot of strength since the introduction last week.
Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus bring significant improvements to its latest iPhone lineup. Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus feature a design similar to the iPhone 6, but uses a tweaked antenna line and a redesign camera module for better protection to the sapphire lens. Apple is also introducing two new colour variants – jet black and black – which are apparently sold out.
Finally, Apple is ditching the 16GB base variant in favour of 32GB base storage. Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB storage models. It must be noted that Apple is taking a leap forward in terms of mobile storage with new 128GB and 256GB storage options. As we noticed with iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, you need all that storage to save your live photos, 4K video and thousands of apps available from the App Store.
iPhone 7 specifications: Apple iPhone 7 features the same 4.7-inch 750 x 1334 pixel display seen on iPhone 6. Apple says the displays are 25 per cent brighter than its predecessors and also support wide colour gamut for more much saturated colours like iPad Pro. Apple iPhone 7 is powered by an A10 Fusion chipset, which is claimed to be 40 per cent faster than the A9 chip. Technically, the A10 Fusion pairs four cores with two low power cores and two powerful cores. The low power cores kick in when the user is doing basic stuff like browsing, messaging, etc.
Apple iPhone 7 gets its biggest update in the camera department. Apple iPhone 7 features a new 12MP rear camera with wider f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation. Apple’s iPhone 7 should be an extremely capable camera in low-light now, and also handle 4K video recording better. Apple iPhone 7 also gets an updated 7MP iSight camera at the front.
iPhone 7 Plus specifications:
Apple iPhone 7 Plus also features a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by the same A10 Fusion chipset. Apple A10 Fusion has already been marked as the most powerful mobile processor, reveals new benchmark. The iPhone 7 Plus also gets an updated dual 12MP rear camera with one wide angle lens and a telephoto lens. With iPhone 7 Plus, Apple is promising 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. However, one of the key feature called Portrait mode, which offers professional bokeh will only be available later this year via a software update.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus also gets an updated battery which Apple claims will last at least one hour longer than the iPhone 6s Plus.
Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus run the latest iOS 10 operating system. One of the major changes to iOS 10 is the ability to use camera while playing music in the background. Apple is also putting widgets and 3D Touch at the center of its latest mobile OS. With iOS 10, users can access music by simply sliding to the right from the control center. There is also a quick access to camera by simply sliding to the right from the lockscreen. Apple iOS 10 also brings in an improved iMessage app with support for third-party apps. There is support for read receipts now and image search option.
