SAR Train Ticket Fares, Timing and Online Booking

The first line operated by Saudi Railway Company SAR is opened for public travelling between Riyadh – Al Qassim, the launch take place on the date of 26th feb 2017. This first line is two way line having length of 1250 kilometers. The current and promotional rate of tickets is SR 20 for children and SR 40 for adults. This line will further goes on until at its end point at Al-Haditha land port near Saudi Jordan border. This new line will also to be added with Riyadh-Dammam railway line.

The journey begins with 2 Passenger Carrying trains and will increased to 6 in next stages, the SAR 1242km line will reach up to hail, Al Jouf and AL Qurrayat after further extension.

Riyadh to Al Qassim Opening Days

The line is open for passenger for 5 days in a week

Thursday Friday  Saturday  Sunday Monday

Timing of Train:

Riyadh to Al Qassim

At Riyadh Terminal  at KKIA(King Khalid International Airport) train starts at 10:00 AM and reached 12:30 AM

At Al Qassim train starts at 3:00PM and reached at 5:30PM

Travel time on Both Sides: 2 hours and 30 minutes with 10 Minutes Stop at Majmaah Station

Saptco Buses provide free trip from Buraidah to Al Qassim Railway station

FROM 2nd April 2017 Timing will be changed:

At Riyadh Terminal  at KKIA(King Khalid International Airport) train starts at 6:00 PM reach at Al Qassim at 8:30PM

At Al Qassim train starts from 5:00 AM and reach at riyadh on 7:30AM

Stops in between Riyadh to Al Qassim 

1 stop Majmaah

Ticket Fares:

Riyadh to Al Qassim Station for Both business and economy class(Promotional)

Adults: SAR 40

Children: SAR 20

From April 2, 2017

Adults: SAR 120 (Economy)

Children: SAR 60 (Economy)

Adults: SAR 230 (Business)

Children: SAR 350 (Business)

SAR Online Ticket Booking:

Currently SAR only operating two trips of Riyadh to Al Qassim with one stop so there is no other cities would be seen at online booking portal

Select Departure and Arrival Station, Date, Class, Return Class, Return Date, Infants and Adults Passengers, I you want to flexible with date select the option and Click on find trip.

Now you see the timings of departure and Arrival with train number. You need to click on that table to go to next step.

Fill the details related to Passenger and proceed to next step which is Payment you could pay online as well as at counter on Station. Follow This LINK for Online Booking at SAR.
