New Speed Limits in Saudi Arabia to Reduce Accidents

Ministry of Interior in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic and Road Security, Saudi Arabia issues directives to replace all previous sign boards of speed limit with new ones, and Ministry of transport now start making new changes along the sign boards located at highways throughout Saudi Arabia.

The Move will reduce the number of Injuries and road accidents, from January to Oct 1,864 people died in Road Accidents. The Ministry of transport is sure that it can reduce the number of fatalities by 25 percent by 2020.

The New signs will aware driver of new speed limit which increased from 120kmph to 140 kmph for small automobiles.

The speed limit is set only at faster highways where, speed is normally 120 kmph.

There are alot of other new regulations which has been set to introduce in the first quarter of 2018.
