The Emirate of Makkah Region has declared that expatriates will not be allowed to enter Mecca from 25 Shawwal until 10 Dhul Hijjah.
The ban comes every year on the ports of the holy capital, and includes transportation vehicles, buses and trucks, while also for those entering through the train for the first time within the means of access to Mecca.
The Emirate explained that this is based on the Royal Decree No. 7944 / M / B dated 6/1427, which prohibits residents from entering Makkah as of the 25th of Shawwal every year, except for residents of the Holy Capital or those who have Work during the Hajj season, provided they obtain permits from the competent authorities.
